Machining

PDS (CNC) Engineering specialises in CNC Milling and CNC Turning including multi-pallet, 5-axis machines and both Vertical and Horizontal machining utilising state-of-the-art engineering techniques including CAD/CAM program-proving technology.

We offer our customers a flexible and fast response service and are proud that we have the flexibility and agility to solve your engineering problems. We are very experience in machining hard metals such as Inconels, Hastelloy X and Nimonics as well as more traditional soft metals, composites and plastics.

CNC Milling

PDS’ excellent CNC Milling capacity includes Multi-pallet, 5-axis machines and 15 Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centres allowing:

  • Horizontal Machining in 5 axis up to a 1000mm cube
  • Vertical Machining in 4 Axis and Twin Spindle
  • Accuracy up to 4 microns
  • ‘Green Button’ technology 

CNC Turning

PDS’ manufacturing facility also boasts extensive CNC Turning capability, incorporating:

  • Advanced Twin Spindle and Power Tooling machines
  • 500mm diameter capacity
  • Stacker bar feed facility allowing round-the-clock machining

Welding & EDM

PDS can also offer welding and EDM services as required.

At PDS we also appreciate the value and importance of core engineering skills and so alongside our state-of-the-art equipment we incorporate conventional machinery including 2 Large-Size DSGs enabling sizes up to 1 metre cubed to be machined in a variety of materials with specialised experience in hard metals used in the Aerospace and Energy Generation industries.
